Philip Salom has published many books of poetry and fiction, including Sky Poems, New and Selected Poems, A Cretive Life and Feeding the Ghost. His most recent book The Well Mouth, is a collection of voices from the underworld. Awards include twice winning the Commonwealth Poetry Book Prize in London (1981 and 1987), the Western Australian Premiers Prize for Poetry (twice) and for Fiction, and (twice) the prestigious Newcastle Poetry Prize. In 2004 he was recognised with the Christopher Brennan Prize.
